Apart from the 'Sewing for Beginners' course, most courses do require a basic sewing knowledge. If you are unsure if a course is suitable for you, just get in touch..
Materials are not provided but advice will be given on booking.

If you don't have access to a sewing machine, I can provide one.

Sewing for Beginners

​Whether you have had bad experiences of sewing in the past, have never sewn before or have a new sewing machine and don’t know where to start – this course is for you.  We cover all the basics and you'll be amazed at how your confidence grows from day one.

    Curtain Making

​Suitable for beginners, this course is a great money saver, learning to sew your own curtains is easier than you think.  You will learn all that you need to know to make a variety of styles of curtain that will fit your windows. Whether you need sheers or lined curtains, prefer patterned or plain fabrics these lessons will show you how to achieve a professional result.

Reversible girls' dress

Why make 2 dresses when you can make 2 in 1! Cheaper, quicker and avoiding tedious facings, this technique is more fun to make and gives a great effect of using 2 coordinating fabrics visible at the hemline. Add ribbon and braid around the hem and a sweet keyhole neckline. Pattern is suitable for ages 6 months to 6 years.

​P.J. Bottoms

​A
one day workshop where you will learn how to make a pair of P.J. bottoms with a contrasting hem and inserted piped edging. We’ll also cover an elasticated waist and seam finishing as well  as that all important fit.
​Once you have the pattern altered to fit you perfectly, you’ll be able to re-create lots of variations at home. Soon you’ll be kitting out the whole family!

​​Beginners Silk Ribbon Embroidery

So much easier (and faster!) than you might expect, the art of silk ribbon embroidery is a great way to give an individual touch to a wide variety of projects. On this one day workshop you’ll learn all the basic stitches, which needles you’ll need and how to prepare your ribbon. Wonderful for decorating girl’s and babies clothes; this is an addictive and rewarding pastime – as well as a great excuse to buy exquisite hand dyes silk ribbon! You’ll make a padded hanging heart which would make a delightful present.
