Sewing for Beginners

(Sewing machines can be available if you don't have one of your own)

Course Information

We will cover the following:
*All students will make both a lined tote bag and a lined and zipped make-up bag
*How your sewing machine works
* Threading up and bobbin winding
* Getting thread tension right
* Machine needles - types, how, when and why you should change them
*Identifying various presser feet and changing them
*Basic sewing equipment and how to use it
*Cutting out fabrics and how to pin easily 
* Learning to sew accurate seams
